Is V’s Acne Clearning Program Right For You?

Acne can be complex, but our program gets right to the point. This program may be a fit for you if…

- Accutane was not successful for you.
- Your acne affects your confidence.
- You feel as though you have tried everything for your acne, even medications, but have not seen the results you wanted.

After scheduling your first visit and completing your intake forms, it’s time for your in-office visit. During your in-office visit we will go over your Acne Clearing Program handouts: going over what acne is, ingredients, foods, and medications that affect acne-prone skin, and lifestyle choices to adjust during your journey towards clear skin. We will also talk about your treatment plan (bring your calendar to schedule your upcoming six appointments), and a home care regimen specially designed for your acne. The sensitivity test will be during your facial treatment to determine what your skin can and cannot handle at the moment, and to determine your skin and acne type, and the severity of it.

  • You must be off of accutane for at least six months before your in-office visit.
    Two weeks prior to your visit you must stop all other acne medications that may include, but are not limited to: differin, tretinoin, antibiotics (topical and internal), and benzoyl peroxide.     Adherence and cooperation to this program is vital to reach clear skin.

    With this program a home care regimen is required to purchase, expect to spend at least $100 on home care in the beginning, in addition to treatments every two weeks.

    *You may receive acne treatments and be on the acne program series if you are pregnant, however, it is very important to tell your esthetician so that we can ensure we use the correct products on your skin.

  • Clients, on average, become clear in 3 - 4 months with diligent home care, adjusting their lifestyle choices accordingly, and receiving their treatments every two weeks. However, there will be instances where clients experience a shorter or longer time-frame to become clear, this is normal and everyone will have a different journey to clear skin.
    If you achieve clarity within your series package, the remaining balance will go towards your future services.

  • There is no concrete cure for acne, but it is manageable. The specified home care recommended to you will be a vital part of maintenance and keeping you clear, and will be required indefinitely.
    1-3 acne lesions a month is normal, and should clear relatively quickly, however if you experience more breakouts with a longer healing time you may need to repeat the series or have your home care adjusted.

  • Initial Visit $100
    This time will be spent going over your already filled out Acne Program Intake Form, a sensitivity test, and an acne treatment. At this visit we will develop a home care plan for you, and get your six appointments scheduled out.

ACNE BEFORE & AFTERS

Acne is an inherited condition where pores shed cells quicker than the body can expel them. While typical pores shed one layer of skin cells a day, acne-prone pores shed up to five layers a day — this is called retention hyperkeratosis. There are certain foods, supplements, lifestyle choices, and ingredients that can induce or exacerbate acne breakouts on acne-prone individuals, but do not cause acne.
